Delivery applications combine offline records, location and uploads. Device signals should not be treated as proof that a business record is correct.
Evaluation approach
Bind delivery records to assignments, worker sessions and server transaction identifiers. Keep device creation time separate from server receipt time. Prevent duplicates on resend.
Application example
A courier can queue evidence without connectivity. On synchronization, the server verifies that the assignment remains valid and the record was not already processed. A suspicious environment warrants review rather than proving no delivery occurred.
Limits and considerations
Location is not absolute proof of physical presence. Shared devices also require account ownership controls.
Checks and decisions
- Preserve offline event identifiers
- Deduplicate server processing
- Recheck assignment authority
Record evidence provenance and uncertainty separately from the business outcome.
