Healthcare applications must manage sensitive data and access continuity together. Design risk responses per operation without unnecessarily cutting off essential information.
Evaluation approach
Viewing records, editing them and submitting measurements cross different boundaries. Protect local data while the server enforces roles, patient relationships and operation rights.
Application example
A risky environment may stop new changes while offering an approved alternative access route. Define who can use that route; emergency access must not become an uncontrolled bypass for everyone.
Limits and considerations
A clean phone does not prove clinical accuracy or device calibration. Unnecessary health data in telemetry increases exposure.
Checks and decisions
- Assess interruption impact by function
- Authorize patient records server-side
- Separate telemetry from health content
Include service-continuity and data-use owners in acceptance decisions, alongside security staff.
