Loyalty points and promotions are valuable business assets. A healthy device signal does not create unlimited reward entitlement.
Evaluation approach
Use unique records for earning, spending and reversing points. Deduplicate retries and keep eligibility independent of local counters. Review linked accounts and shared-device use.
Application example
If a receipt upload is retried after a network error, the server must not award points twice. Device risk may prompt review without automatically labeling family members on one phone as fake accounts.
Limits and considerations
A device fingerprint is not a perfect personal identity. Phone changes, reinstalls and shared devices are normal.

Associate signals with economic records and measure unjustified point loss alongside prevented abuse.
